Sound pack for the Scania NextGen trucks for ETS2, made of studio-quality sound samples recorded on a 2022 Scania R660 V8 by Car-Lack GmbH, equipped with a stock 16.4l Scania DC16 122 V8 Euro 6 engine. All sounds of the R660 have been professionally recorded using studio audio equipment, such as the engine, all interior sounds, the air-brakes, the G33CM gearbox and much more!

The sound pack replaces the original ETS2 sound files for the DC16 V8 engines for the following trucks: the Scania R by SCS, the Scania S by SCS, the Scania R, S by Eugene, and the Scania Next Gen Torpedo by H&W Trucks.

Furthermore, the sound pack features 4 standalone DC16 V8 engines, ranging from 530 to 770 hp, with true-to-real life engine parameters, torque curves, and a variety of matching Scania Opticruise G33CM and GRSO926 transmissions with multiple differential ratios (1.95 – 4.11), all crafted by myself according to original Scania data sheet.

Features:

Thanks to the use of 10 synchronized microphones placed all around the truck, the DC16 122 engine has been recorded in its fullest glory, including all its details, auxiliary units and emission control systems
In the cabin, each single stick, switch and warning tone has been recorded and successfully implemented into the game
The G33CM & GRSO926 gearboxes have been recorded in multiple driving scenarios, featuring a bunch of special shifting sounds, as well as high-quality retarder sounds with attenuation and pitch variations reflecting the real life retarder behavior
Multi-directional soundscape that changes depending on your position to the truck — whether you're in front, next to, or behind the truck, all truck sounds respond to your position, just like in real life.
Enhanced cabin noise insulation: Experience the comfort of a quieter cabin, while still feeling the raw power of the engine through crisper, more realistic audio and true-to-real life reverb settings. This creates a much more dynamic sound experience, deepening your sense of immersion and realism.
Many brand-new features have been implemented that aren't part of the base game mechanics due to a lot of programming and testing:
- Warning tones when turning off the engine without parking brake or with lights activated
- Air-brake sounds when engaging/disengaging the parking brake
- Air-compressor kicking in after braking, shifting or if the air pressure is low
- Multiple sounds that are only triggered under certain driving conditions
- Many small details such as key sounds when starting/stopping the engine, button sounds for raising/lowering the lift-axle, gear selector sounds, and much more

Please note:

For correct automatic transmission behavior, you must set the "Adaptive automatic transmission" to either Normal power mode or High power mode in the controls settings of ETS2!
In order to experience the fullest sound experience, turn on both “reverb effects” in the audio settings of ETS2!

Convoy mode support is not available, therefore is the sound pack optional for convoy mode (other players don't need to have it)
